I was at her office with loud dot matrix printers, no fax, no email, and rates at 16%!! I've since graduated with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1994. Then I decided to completely change paths, and moved to Austin, Texas in 1995 to attend Film School at UT Austin graduating in 1997 with a BS in Tv&Film. After working in film for several years, I decided to join the family business because it was BOOMING!! Eventually my mother retired, and I took over the business completely as the owner and broker of Independent Mortgage in 2010. I've made it through the worst economic disaster in 2008 while most brokers shut down by adapting to the changes in the lending world, and always looking out for my clients' best interests!
